“The intrigue into the contrasting depths of the colour indigo blue with the delicacy and beauty of our native fauna formed the idea for this Botanical “Blu” series. Studying the secrets behind the colour indigo it was discovered the dye came from a plant called nila meaning dark blue and was discovered over 5000 years ago. Using the strength of this colour then bleeding it out to its soft watery edge, reveals its strength and fragility.”
