Artist Bio: 

My artistic practice is inspired by the beauty of nature, particularly within the coastal environment. I work with natural fibres including silk, merino, angora and flax, that have a distinct palette of crimps and curls of varying lengths, lustre and softness. I layer these different textures and hues to illuminate forms and perspectives—evoking a sense of elegance and calm akin to the one I see and feel in the natural world

My work explores the way individual moments, experiences, and impressions come together to create a sense of balance, harmony, and wholeness. This is reflected in my felting process, where traditional techniques transform countless individual fibres into a unified form. Each fibre contributes its own texture, movement, and character, yet it is their collective relationship that gives rise to the finished work. Every fibre has its place, when I've found balance and beauty, I know it's complete.
