This summer, Brickworks becomes a living gallery as two creative worlds collide in a curated GALLERY WALK celebrating the unmistakable work of David Bromley. 

Beginning at Gallery One, guests are invited to experience Bromley’s large-scale fine artworks in their purest form—bold, emotive, and unapologetically expressive—within a high-end original art setting. 

From there, the journey continues just steps away into St Barts Collecté, where Bromley’s works evolve beyond the wall and into object form. Here, art becomes tactile and unexpected: iconic Bromley imagery reimagined across ceramics, hand-finished surfboards, blurring the lines between fine art, design, and collectible object.

This dual-location exhibition offers a rare opportunity to view one collection through two lenses—classic fine art presentation and experiential art-as-object—inviting both audiences to cross-pollinate, explore, and linger. One artist. One collection. Two immersive spaces.

Bromley: "I spent until recently, nearly 2 years making art in a partly outside studio. Having been in a semi tropical, natural environment I find painting butterflies even more important now I’m back in my Melbourne studio. The vibrant city hum and clatter of trams and busy streets, which I also love, has though meant that butterflies don’t visit me as they did in Byron. Fortunately, when I am in the studio, my mind and my brush travels through my imagination and I am in a place my dreams take me! Through this creative lens, all the characters and subjects in my work can still be portrayed from the garden of my mind” - David Bromley
